Non-oil bilateral trade surges 42.6% to reach $767.5 million as both nations target deeper cooperation in tech, renewable energy, and logistics.
BUENOS AIRES, July 2, 2026 – Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of Foreign Trade, has led a high-level economic delegation to Argentina to unlock new trade and investment channels, marking a significant milestone under the ‘UAE Trade Days’ initiative.
The official diplomatic and economic mission features a high-level Emirati delegation comprising government officials, prominent business leaders, and representatives from strategic corporate sectors. The visit aims to amplify the private sector’s role in driving sustainable economic growth and building high-quality cross-border partnerships.
As part of the bilateral itinerary, Dr. Al Zeyoudi held extensive talks with senior Argentine officials, including Pablo Quirno Magrane, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship. The discussions centered on expanding joint operations across high-growth sectors, notably advanced technology, renewable energy, logistics, mining, infrastructure, and food security.
The trade mission comes on the heels of a massive surge in economic convergence; non-oil trade exchange between the UAE and Argentina reached $767.5 million in 2025, marking a 42.6% growth compared to 2024.
“Argentina remains one of our most vital trading partners in Latin America,” Dr. Al Zeyoudi stated. “Our bilateral relations have witnessed remarkable growth, spanning agriculture, energy, and science. While Argentina holds vast potential in food industries and advanced technology, the UAE offers a world-class investment ecosystem, artificial intelligence expertise, and a strategic logistical gateway connecting global markets.”
A dedicated business roundtable was convened in the capital, bringing together institutional investors and corporate executives from both nations. The forum served to identify fresh investment pipelines and strengthen private sector dialogue. The UAE’s engagement in Buenos Aires aligns with its broader Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) program, launched in September 2021, designed to integrate the Gulf nation deeper into global trade networks.
