Dubai:Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has launched a Transport Data Analysis Laboratory at its Enterprise Command and Control Centre (EC3), strengthening the emirate’s ability to manage traffic proactively, especially during major events and emergencies.
The new facility analyses real-time and historical data from more than 35 transport sources, using artificial intelligence and big data to develop predictive models and scenario-based solutions. These insights support faster, more accurate decision-making, helping ensure smoother traffic flow and higher operational efficiency across Dubai.
RTA said the laboratory recently played a key role in analysing traffic movement during GITEX 2025, identifying congestion points and improving mobility around the exhibition area. The initiative further reinforces Dubai’s position as a smart city and a global leader in sustainable and intelligent transport systems.
