Dubai’s General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA Dubai) will launch its ‘Closer to You’ initiative at Global Village on Monday, January 5, 2026. The month-long campaign will run until February 5, aiming to bring essential government services closer to residents while enhancing quality of life.
Held at one of Dubai’s most popular family entertainment destinations, the initiative allows visitors to access and learn about a wide range of GDRFA services while enjoying Global Village’s attractions. Dedicated platforms have been set up to provide information and support related to entry permits, Golden Visa services, identity and nationality services, work permits, and passport control services for children.
Visitors will also be able to explore special service concepts such as the ‘04 Platform’, Red Carpet Corridor, and Happiness Card, while interacting directly with GDRFA officials to address queries and understand procedures.
Designed with families and children in mind, the platform will feature interactive programmes, educational games, daily surprises and weekly raffle draws with prizes. According to GDRFA Dubai, the initiative aims to strengthen public trust in government services by encouraging direct engagement, understanding community needs, and ensuring customer happiness.
