Authorities clarify that the victim’s wife and son travelled to their home country as suspects face Public Prosecution.
SHARJAH, Sept. 26, 2026 : Sharjah Police have dismissed circulating reports alleging the disappearance of the wife and son of an Asian expatriate murdered last month, confirming that both family members legally departed the UAE for their home country.
The clarification follows unverified reports that circulated across digital platforms implying that the victim’s dependents had disappeared in the aftermath of the killing. Sharjah Police stated that their investigative records show no missing-person files registered for either relative. Border control and travel records confirmed their regular departure to their home country.
Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) have solved the homicide, tracking down and apprehending the suspects linked to the fatal assault.
The inquiry began after central operations received an emergency report regarding an individual found dead under suspicious circumstances. Specialized forensic units, crime scene investigators, and field detectives were deployed to the site, cordoning off the area to collect physical evidence, interview witnesses, and log initial forensic leads.
The victim’s body was transferred to the forensic medicine laboratory under the directive of the Sharjah Public Prosecution to determine the exact cause and timeline of death.
CID teams reconstructed the sequence of events by cross-referencing surveillance footage, forensic clues, and witness statements. Investigators swiftly identified the perpetrators, executed their arrests, and recovered evidence tying them directly to the crime.
Formal charges have been filed against the suspects, and the complete case file has been handed over to the Public Prosecution for judicial indictment and trial proceedings.
