The four-day heritage showcase featured more than 80 exhibitors presenting specialised supplies for equestrian care, camel breeding, falconry, and outdoor adventure
SHARJAH — The fifth edition of the Al Asayl Exhibition concluded its four-day run at Expo Al Dhaid, recording more than 6,500 visitors and bringing together over 80 commercial exhibitors specialising in traditional Emirati heritage sports, equestrian supplies, and desert camping gear.
Organised by Expo Centre Sharjah with the backing of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), the annual event has firmly positioned Expo Al Dhaid as a central venue for rural commerce, heritage preservation, and outdoor industries in Sharjah’s central region.
The exhibition floor served as an integrated marketplace covering sectors essential to Arab sporting culture. Displays ranged from horse care, camel breeding supplements, stable equipment, and falconry accessories to four-wheel-drive accessories, safari gear, and modern desert camping equipment.
Mohammed Musabah Al Tunaiji, Director of SCCI’s Al Dhaid Branch and Director of Expo Al Dhaid, noted that the fifth edition demonstrated how niche trade fairs create practical commercial bridges between business operators and passionate consumers. The sustained turnout, he said, reinforces the need to expand sector-specific exhibitions that match shifting market requirements while giving specialized vendors direct access to target clientele.
Exhibiting firms reported strong business engagement throughout the event, citing the focused demographic of breeders, falconers, and outdoor enthusiasts who attended. Vendors pointed to the convenience of having direct commercial interactions with buyers seeking premium feeds, veterinary equipment, animal transport trailers, and hunting gear.
Visitors, in turn, highlighted the practical value of gathering equestrian, camel, falcon, and wilderness outfitters under one roof. The platform allowed owners, breeders, and adventure travelers to assess emerging products, compare technologies in animal husbandry, and source custom outdoor equipment without travelling between dispersed regional suppliers.
Expo Al Dhaid, located roughly 60 kilometres inland from Sharjah city, continues to build out an active trade calendar aimed at driving commercial traffic and supporting cultural industries across the emirate’s interior plains.
