The Barkha facility marks Hotpack’s first industrial production unit in the Sultanate, expanding domestic supply chains under Oman Vision 2040.
DUBAI, Oct. 21, 2026 — UAE-based global packaging solutions provider Hotpack Global is setting up its first integrated manufacturing facility in Oman through a strategic joint venture with Pride Packaging, a subsidiary of Sea Pride Group.
The manufacturing complex will be located in the northern coastal city of Barkha, bringing together diversified packaging production under a single roof to cater to domestic industrial demand and reduce import dependence.
The formal agreement was signed during the Inspire Oman Investors Summit organized by the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) in Muscat. The signing ceremony took place in the presence of H.H. Sayyid Mohammed Salim Al Said, OCCI Board Chairman Faisal Abdullah Al Rawas, and Hotpack Group Chief Operating Officer and Executive Director Zainudeen P.B.
Hotpack has maintained trading and commercial operations in Oman since 1998, primarily anchored through its business hub in Ruwi. The move into local industrial production marks a decisive shift from distribution to direct in-country value creation.
“Establishing a local manufacturing plant expands our market presence while strengthening our manufacturing footprint across the Gulf,” said Abdul Jebbar P.B., Group Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Hotpack. “Demand for sustainable and recyclable packaging solutions is growing across the region, and this facility will consolidate diverse operations in one location to fulfill high-volume domestic supply contracts.”
Oman’s packaging sector is projected to maintain a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 4.36 percent over the medium term. The Barkha hub will serve as a primary supply base to tap into this domestic expansion while utilizing Oman’s trade gateways for cross-border logistics.
Sea Pride Group, which owns Pride Packaging, is Oman’s largest private fisheries company. The group’s domestic supply chain networks and regional distribution experience will be integrated with Hotpack’s technical infrastructure and production engineering.
Ameen Mohamed Sait, Chief Executive Officer of Sea Pride Group of Companies, noted that the facility aligns directly with national industrial diversification goals.
“This packaging complex combines Hotpack’s international manufacturing expertise with our local operational knowledge,” Sait said. “Beyond increasing domestic output, the project will generate jobs, train local technical talent, and contribute directly to Oman Vision 2040 and the Sultanate’s broader sustainable development roadmap.”
The Oman investment forms part of Hotpack’s Dh1 billion global expansion strategy launched under its Vision 2030 program in 2023. Over the past three years, the group broadened its industrial footprint across Saudi Arabia and India, followed by a presence in the United States in 2025 and an operational base in Malaysia earlier in 2026.
Hotpack operates 25 manufacturing facilities across 17 countries and exports an inventory of more than 4,500 products to 107 international markets, servicing industries spanning food and beverage, retail, hospitality, pharmaceuticals, and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG).
The group confirmed that additional manufacturing investments are scheduled over the next five years across key target markets, including Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, and India.
