Abu Dhabi: Abu Dhabi Awards, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, has announced the winners of its nationwide Schools Competition launched during the 2025–2026 academic year to encourage student participation and promote values of goodness, giving, and community appreciation.
The initiative aimed to strengthen social responsibility among students while encouraging recognition of individuals who positively contribute to society. Organisers said the programme also focused on developing critical thinking and decision-making skills among younger generations.
The competition attracted widespread participation from schools across the UAE, with 50 schools taking part and more than 15,000 nominations submitted — more than double the total recorded in the previous edition.
Seven schools were recognised for their exceptional participation and engagement in promoting the initiative’s message within school communities. Among the highest participating schools were Rawdat Al Musk School, Zayed Educational Complex – Mohammed Bin Zayed City, and Juwairiya Bint Al Harith School.
Other schools honoured for outstanding participation included Al Qariah School, City Private School, Al Madar International School, and Mezyad School.
The winning schools were recognised during a virtual ceremony where organisers and Ministry of Education officials praised the efforts undertaken throughout the academic year. Activities included awareness events, interactive programmes, discussion sessions, and school broadcasts aimed at promoting the values of giving and positive social contribution.
According to organisers, nomination figures in the recognised schools exceeded 100% of the total student population, highlighting the strong level of engagement from students, teachers, and wider school communities.
Amal Al Ameri said the initiative reflects a continued commitment to empowering younger generations and strengthening values of appreciation, social responsibility, and community participation among students across the UAE.
The Ministry of Education added that participation in the initiative supports efforts to reinforce UAE values, national identity, and pride in the country’s cultural heritage inspired by the legacy of previous generations.
The Abu Dhabi Awards programme continues to highlight inspiring individuals and initiatives that contribute positively and selflessly to society.
