Top pharmaceutical chiefs, tech founders, and health ministers will convene from October 20 to 22 to address chronic disease risks, genomics, and clinical longevity.
ABU DHABI, Oct. 3, 2026 : Global healthcare leaders, biotechnology executives, and policymakers will gather in Abu Dhabi later this month for the Abu Dhabi Future Health Summit 2026, a three-day forum focused on deploying artificial intelligence, genomics, and diagnostics to preempt chronic diseases before symptoms emerge.
The summit, organized by the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH), runs from October 20 to 22 under the banner “To Sense is to Predict.” It reflects a structural transition among international health agencies seeking to move beyond reactive clinical treatment toward proactive risk assessment and early intervention.
Abu Dhabi has positioned its domestic healthcare infrastructure as an open testbed for scaling preventive medical technology. By linking population genomics data, national regulatory frameworks, and sovereign investment, the emirate aims to demonstrate how integrated data systems can reduce long-term public health expenditures and extend healthy life expectancy.
More than 130 speakers and 175 exhibitors representing roughly 100 countries are scheduled to participate across panel sessions, executive roundtables, and public-private workshops.
High-profile industry executives slated to speak include AstraZeneca Chief Executive Pascal Soriot, Johnson & Johnson MedTech Worldwide Chairman Tim Schmid, Isomorphic Labs President Max Jaderberg, and UNICEF Director of Health Helga Fogstad. Digital health and wearable technology founders, including Will Ahmed of WHOOP and Tom Hale of ŌURA, will address consumer biometric monitoring alongside venture capital leaders such as Dr. Ola Brown of HealthCap Africa and Access to Medicine Foundation CEO Dr. Jayasree Iyer. Mansoor Al Mansoori, Chairman of the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi, will open the leadership sessions.
Dr. Noura Khamis Al Ghaithi, Undersecretary of the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi, stressed that modern clinical outcomes depend on converting predictive diagnostics into scalable treatment regimens.
“Health systems around the world are entering an era where advances in science, data, and technology give us the ability to understand risk earlier and act before illness progresses,” Dr. Al Ghaithi said. “In Abu Dhabi, we are bringing together policy, data, genomics, clinical innovation, and investment to translate that potential into a predictive, preventive, and personalized model of health.”
The summit agenda centers on four operational pillars:
- Longevity and precision health
- Digital health architectures and artificial intelligence
- Health system resilience and climate sustainability
- Venture capital and life sciences financing
The accompanying global exhibition will showcase diagnostic platforms, machine learning algorithms for oncology, and clinical trial innovations.
The gathering serves as the flagship event of Future Health, a broader institutional initiative launched by Abu Dhabi in 2025 following the restructuring of Abu Dhabi Global Health Week. Over the past year, the platform rolled out the Future Health Challenge—which drew 393 entries across 68 jurisdictions—and produced working policy papers on longevity and everyday preventative health. Abu Dhabi also joined the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Koch Institute BioConvergence Cancer Alliance as a founding institutional member.
The initiative is backed by domestic and regional healthcare operators. Founding partners include PureHealth, artificial intelligence health firm M42, Mubadala Bio, and the Institute for Healthier Living Abu Dhabi. Mediclinic Middle East serves as the strategic partner, with Burjeel Holdings participating as an associate partner.
