The retail group announces five more outlets over the next six months as it deepens its focus on multicultural consumer segments in the Emirates.
AJMAN, UAE: CM Group has expanded its UAE retail operations with the opening of its fifth CM Hypermarket branch in Al Jurf, Ajman, signaling a broader strategy to cater to the country’s diverse expatriate demographic.
Dr. Birbal Singh, Chairman of Dana Group of Companies, inaugurated the new facility in the presence of CM Group Managing Partners Siraj Chembayil and Shanil Chembayil. Prominent Emirati figure Majeed Hamad Jabar Hamad Al Suwaidi attended the opening ceremony as the chief guest.
The expansion builds on CM Group’s established footprint in the regional retail sector, where it has operated for more than a decade with a strong focus on the Filipino consumer segment. The group currently runs over 20 outlets serving more than 700,000 customers across the country, leveraging its existing supply chain network and infrastructure to fuel the CM Hypermarket brand.
“Our hypermarkets are structured to address the distinct shopping preferences of the UAE’s multicultural population,” the management said in a statement. The retail chain provides range choices for Emirati nationals and expatriate communities, including residents from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Nepal, under one roof.
To mark the launch, the retailer announced a promotional campaign offering customers purchasing items worth AED 25 or more an entry into a mega prize draw. Prizes include a JAC SUV alongside multiple consumer rewards.
As part of a community initiative across all CM Hypermarket branches, the group launched a education grant program that will cover school fees for 10 students. The raffle draw for the academic sponsorship is scheduled for November 29.
CM Group confirmed plans to accelerate its regional presence, targeting five new store openings over the next six months. The inaugurations were accompanied by a public music program organized by the group.
