Dubai has taken a major leap in its smart mobility strategy with the launch of its first fully integrated AI-powered smart bus station at the Mall of the Emirates. The project, unveiled by the Roads and Transport Authority, combines artificial intelligence, sustainability, and 24/7 digital services to enhance the public transport experience.
Strategically connected to the Mall of the Emirates Metro Station on the Red Line, the new facility serves as a key multi-modal transport hub. It currently accommodates 11 bus routes, including six Metro feeder services, three internal routes, and two seasonal lines, significantly improving connectivity across residential, commercial, and tourist areas in Dubai.
The smart station is designed to streamline passenger movement and reduce waiting times. It connects commuters to major destinations such as Al Quoz, Jumeirah Village Circle, Dubai Internet City, and tourist attractions like Global Village and Dubai Miracle Garden.

A standout feature of the station is its advanced AI-driven infrastructure. Smart cameras monitor crowd movement and detect violations, while digital displays provide real-time updates on bus arrivals, Metro schedules, and taxi availability. Interactive kiosks and digital platforms operate round the clock, ensuring commuters have instant access to travel information.
The station is fully integrated with Dubai’s smart mobility ecosystem, including the nol card system and the S’hail app, enabling seamless transitions between different modes of transport.
According to officials, the initiative aligns with Dubai’s long-term vision to modernise public transportation through smart infrastructure and digital innovation. The project is expected to encourage greater public transport usage by offering a faster, more efficient, and comfortable commuting experience.
The launch also reflects the emirate’s broader ambition to position itself as a global leader in smart urban mobility and sustainable transport systems. As Dubai continues to expand its transport network, projects like this smart bus station are set to play a crucial role in shaping the future of urban commuting.
