Dubai: A criminal complaint has been filed with Dubai Police against Eastern Farms LLC over allegations of financial fraud involving forged bank transfer documents and unpaid transactions worth millions of dirhams.

India-based export-import firm KN Trading has launched legal proceedings against the company, alleging that Eastern Farms obtained agricultural products, including coconuts, without making payments and later used fake bank transfer receipts to mislead suppliers.

According to KN Trading officials, Eastern Farms entered into a business agreement with the company in September 2021 for the distribution of agricultural products in the UAE market. After receiving consignments valued at millions of dirhams in Dubai, the company allegedly failed to make payments for several months.

The complainants further alleged that officials from Eastern Farms later sent fabricated bank transfer receipts through WhatsApp and email claiming that payment had been processed. However, detailed verification and official confirmation from the concerned bank reportedly revealed that the transfer documents were fake.

KN Trading stated that it initially approached the Dubai Chamber of Commerce regarding the dispute, but the accused parties allegedly failed to appear. The company later moved the case to the Dubai Civil Court, which reportedly issued a judgment in favour of KN Trading, ordering payment of the outstanding amount along with interest and legal expenses.

According to the complaint, the accused subsequently shut down Eastern Farms LLC in Dubai and allegedly launched a similar business under a different name in another emirate in an attempt to evade the court order and financial liabilities.

The latest criminal complaint filed at Bur Dubai Police Station reportedly includes allegations of forgery, financial fraud, and attempts to circumvent judicial orders.

KN Trading representatives, speaking at a press conference, called for a comprehensive investigation and strict legal action against those responsible. They also claimed that several other businesses, including companies from different parts of India, may have been affected by similar alleged fraudulent activities.

The company further alleged that the accused continue to promote business operations through social media and online platforms, warning traders and exporters to exercise caution to avoid financial losses.

The press conference was addressed by KN Abdul Gafoor, Managing Director of KN Trading, along with Directors Husna Gafoor, Fariz Al Kasmi, and Fahim Al Kasmi.

The allegations remain subject to investigation by UAE authorities, and no court ruling has yet been announced regarding the criminal complaint.
