Motorists can now clear accumulated penalties through flexible payment plans in partnership with select UAE banks.
DUBAI : Dubai Police have launched an initiative allowing motorists to pay accumulated traffic fines through interest-free monthly installments, offering relief to vehicle owners managing hefty outstanding penalties across the emirate.
Under the scheme, drivers in Dubai can split their accumulated traffic fines into flexible monthly installments over a period of three to twelve months, depending on the participating financial institution. The service aims to make fine settlement more manageable for vehicle owners while encouraging prompt compliance with traffic regulations.
To qualify for the interest-free payment plan, motorists must hold a credit card issued by one of the partner banks collaborating with Dubai Police. The minimum total fine amount required to utilize the installment option typically starts at AED 500.
Vehicle owners can access and apply for the installment plan digitally through the official Dubai Police smart application or their online portal. Once logged in using their Emirates ID or vehicle details, users can select the fines they wish to clear, choose the installment payment option, and select their respective bank to complete the transaction.
“This initiative is part of our continuous effort to facilitate services for the public, reduce financial burdens on drivers, and encourage the settlement of outstanding traffic penalties,” Dubai Police stated during the program rollout.
The flexible payment option applies to various traffic violations registered within the emirate. Authorities have encouraged motorists with pending fines to utilize the official digital channels to check eligibility and structure their payments without incurring additional administrative fees.
