Diplomatic mission affirms ongoing outreach to the expatriate workforce and welfare groups across the Northern Emirates
RAS AL KHAIMAH, United Arab Emirates —The Consul General of India in Dubai, Dr. E. Vishnu Vardhan Reddy, met with prominent Indian community representatives, medical professionals, and business figures in Ras Al Khaimah on Tuesday evening to address expatriate welfare priorities and bilateral community ties.
The reception, organized by the Indian Relief Committee (IRC) at the Ras Al Khaimah Hotel, brought together executives from diverse socio-cultural organizations operating across the emirate.
The gathering served as an open forum between consular leadership and expatriate groups residing outside Dubai’s metropolitan center. Consular outreach across the Northern Emirates—Ras Al Khaimah, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, and Fujairah—remains a core operational focus for the consulate, particularly regarding labor assistance, document processing, and community distress relief.
Dr. Nisham Noorudeen, President of the Indian Relief Committee, formally welcomed the envoy, emphasizing the steady cooperation required between grassroots welfare groups and the diplomatic mission to address everyday citizen needs.
General Secretary Sumesh Madathil and Treasurer Dr. Mathew K.M. outlined community welfare programs currently active within the emirate. Committee officials, including Padmaraj, along with prominent community physicians Dr. George Jacob, Dr. Domenic, and Dr. Ajit Cheriyan, participated in discussions covering expatriate health initiatives, emergency intervention protocols, and institutional support systems for blue-collar workers.
The Indian diplomatic mission to Dubai and the Northern Emirates regularly conducts consular camps and town-hall engagements across regional industrial and civic zones. Officials confirmed that direct lines of communication between consular welfare teams and regional volunteer networks will remain central to handling consular access and community aid throughout Ras Al Khaimah.
