Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) held a Customer Council meeting with residents of Al Twar and neighbouring communities to review plans aimed at improving traffic flow in residential areas and enhancing local infrastructure. The session also provided updates on ongoing projects and initiatives currently under study as part of RTA’s efforts to improve quality of life and community satisfaction.

The meeting was chaired by Ahmed Mahboob, CEO of the Licensing Agency and Chair of the Customer Council, in the presence of Hussain Al Banna, CEO of the Traffic and Roads Agency, along with senior RTA officials. Participants were briefed on major road projects launched in 2024 and continuing through 2027, including the implementation of dedicated bus and taxi lanes across six key locations, expansion of roads and junctions in Deira and Bur Dubai, upgrades to cycling tracks with improved landscaping and rest areas, and the installation of energy-efficient LED lighting.

RTA highlighted that such Customer Council gatherings play a key role in engaging the public, sharing project updates, and addressing mobility and congestion challenges. The initiative aligns with RTA’s Strategic Plan 2024–2030, which focuses on integrated and innovative mobility, improved accessibility, enhanced multimodal connectivity, and customer happiness. Residents attending the session praised RTA’s ongoing projects and strategic initiatives, noting their contribution to Dubai’s sustainable growth and global reputation for service excellence.
