RTA to Offer 150 Premium Number Plates in 83rd Online Auction on 27 July

Dubai. Roads and Transport Authority. 16th July 2026:Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) will offer 150 premium three-, four- and five-digit number plates for private and classic vehicles, as well as motorcycles, bearing the codes A, H, I, K, L, M, N, O, P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, W, X, Y and Z, in its 83rd online auction, part of its ongoing online auction series for premium number plates.

Registration for the auction opens on Monday, 20 July, while bidding begins on Monday, 27 July and continues for five days only. The sale of number plates is subject to 5% Value Added Tax (VAT), and participants must have a traffic file in Dubai.

Under RTA’s procedures for participating in the online auction, bidders are required to submit a security cheque for AED 5,000 made payable to the Authority, in addition to a non-refundable participation fee of AED 120. Payments can be made at Customer Happiness Centres in Umm Ramool, Al Barsha and Deira, while credit-card payment is also available through RTA’s website, www.rta.ae.

For successful bidders, amounts due must be settled within 10 working days after the auction closes. Payments can be made at service provider centres, in cash for amounts up to AED 50,000, or by certified cheque or credit card for amounts exceeding AED 50,000. Payment can also be completed at Customer Happiness Centres or through RTA’s website.
