SACC 2026 gets its game on with four days of esports action

AED 40,500 in prizes across esports tournaments and daily gaming challenges at SACC 2026, 22–25 October.

Sharjah, October 09, 2026 : It’s game on at the Sharjah Animation & Comics Conference (SACC) 2026, with a dedicated four-day Gaming & Esports programme putting visitors behind the controller for tournaments, arcade play, community matches and daily challenges from October 22 to 25 at Aljada in Sharjah.

The four-day programme will feature three major tournaments and three daily gaming challenges, with a combined prize pool of AED 40,500.

Built around participation, the programme will turn gaming into one of SACC’s most interactive visitor experiences. Players can compete for tournament titles, challenge friends and fellow visitors, chase daily leaderboard positions or drop in for casual play throughout the event.

Four days of gaming and competition

The competitive line-up will feature three major tournaments, including EA Sports FC 27, Tekken 8, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Players will go head-to-head across three days of competition, with key matches, semi-finals and finals taking place on stage. Registration will open online ahead of SACC through https://www.sharjahanimation.com/tournaments, with on-ground registration also available for walk-in competitors.

The tournament action begins on Friday, October 23, with Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, followed by EA SPORTS FC 27 on Saturday, October 24, and Tekken 8 on Sunday, October 25. Each tournament will accommodate up to 64 players, with additional registrations placed on a waiting list. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Tekken 8 will be played in a 1v1 double-elimination format, while EA SPORTS FC 27 will be played in a 1v1 single-elimination format.

Key tournament matches, semi-finals and finals will take centre stage, followed by award ceremonies, while other matches run simultaneously across the gaming zone.

There will be more at stake than bragging rights. The three major tournaments will offer a combined prize pool of AED 22,500, with AED 7,500 allocated to each tournament. Across EA SPORTS FC 27, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Tekken 8, first place will receive AED 3,750, second place AED 2,250 and third place AED 1,500.

Visitors can also compete in daily challenges throughout the event. Just Dance will offer AED 2,500 per day, with AED 1,250 for first place, AED 750 for second and AED 500 for third. The F1 Time Trial Challenge and Pac-Man Daily High Score Challenge will each offer AED 1,000 per day, with AED 500 for first place, AED 300 for second and AED 200 for third.

Arcade favourites and multiplayer action

Beyond the tournaments and daily challenges, SACC 2026 will feature an arcade zone bringing together classic, fighting, sports and multiplayer games.
