The premium foldable introduces custom Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 silicon, upgraded structural protection, and expanded AI capabilities.
DUBAI — Samsung Electronics has officially unveiled its flagship Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, expanding its foldable lineup with a slimmer, lighter form factor and substantial camera hardware upgrades aimed at the ultra-premium smartphone segment.
Samsung Electronics announced the release of the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra on July 22, 2026, marking the debut of its highest-tier foldable device to date. The handset features a redesigned chassis measuring 4.1 mm when unfolded and weighing 215 grams, alongside a 200-megapixel primary camera sensor and custom Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processing power.
The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra represents a structural and functional refresh for Samsung’s foldable portfolio. Designed around an Armor Aluminum frame with a dual-layer titanium shock-absorption system underneath the flexible main display, the device incorporates an updated Armor FlexHinge intended to reduce the center crease and streamline mechanical folding operations.
