Individuals aged 18 and above can register until October 25 to support the 12-day fair at Expo Centre Sharjah.
Sharjah, 6 October 2026 : Three hundred volunteers will have the opportunity to contribute to the 45th Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF), one of the world’s largest book fairs, as the Sharjah Book Authority (SBA), in collaboration with the Sharjah Volunteer Centre, opens registration for the 12-day event.
Running from November 4 to 15, 2026, at Expo Centre Sharjah, the fair will offer volunteers hands-on experience in event organisation and visitor services while supporting its activities and assisting visitors.
SBA has invited those interested in participating to register through the Sharjah Volunteer Centre platform at https://sssd-volunteer.shj.ae/volunteers/opportunity_details/23903. Registration is open until October 25, 2026.
The volunteering programme is open to individuals aged 18 and above. Volunteers will assist event teams, help organise activities and support visitors, according to tasks assigned by the organising committee.
Over the 12 days, volunteers will gain first-hand experience in event operations and visitor experience management, while developing practical skills through their work at the fair.
Volunteers will work one of two shifts: a morning shift from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm or an evening shift from 3:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Their volunteer hours will be officially recorded through the Sharjah Volunteer Centre platform.
