Under the leadership of the Sharjah CSI Parish Almaya Fellowship, Kanivu—an initiative dedicated to raising awareness and providing guidance and support for kidney health—is being organized on a grand scale this year as Kanivu 2026. This year’s focus is on supporting individuals suffering from severe kidney diseases. The event will take place on May 29, 2026, at 6:30 PM at Sharjah CSI Parish.
As part of the initiative, a dedicated health awareness session on kidney diseases, prevention, and treatment options will be conducted for the public. Dr. Dhanu Mohan, a renowned nephrologist from Dubai Health, will lead this session. Given the rising prevalence of kidney-related conditions today, the session aims to provide valuable insights into disease prevention and modern treatment possibilities.
The highlight of ‘Kaniv 2026’ will be a grand musical concert featuring two prominent choirs: Joyful Singers UAE, a leading Christian choir from the UAE, and YMCA Choir Bahrain. Together, these groups will bring over 250 singers onto the same stage, offering music lovers an unparalleled experience.
Additionally, Mathukutty Kadone, Chairman & Managing Director of NTV, will grace the event as the distinguished guest of honor.
The event is being coordinated by a dedicated committee under the leadership of Rev. Jacob George, Vice President Biju Thomas Ovanalil, Secretary Ajish P Cherian and Conveners Aby Jacob Thazhikayil and Joseph Abraham. Organizers warmly invite everyone to join this unique evening where music and compassion come together.
