Sharjah City Municipality has officially opened Al Khan Park in the Al Khan area ahead of the Eid al-Adha holidays, providing residents and visitors with a new recreational and family-friendly green space.
The newly inaugurated park spans approximately 5,000 square metres and includes a football pitch, a dedicated children’s play area, seating spaces, internal walkways, and lighting facilities designed to improve visitor comfort and safety.
The municipality said the opening forms part of its ongoing efforts to expand public amenities and enhance the quality of life for residents by increasing access to recreational spaces across the emirate.
Authorities expect the park to attract families and visitors during the Eid holiday period, particularly as Sharjah continues to invest in community-oriented infrastructure and urban development projects.
The addition of Al Khan Park also aligns with the emirate’s broader vision of promoting healthy lifestyles, social wellbeing, and sustainable urban environments through the development of accessible public spaces.
