Two-day summit draws over 20,000 delegates and 500 investors from 100 countries to shape digital economy strategies
DUBAI, Oct. 27 — Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum opened the third edition of the Dubai AI Festival at the Dubai World Trade Centre, inaugurating a gathering of more than 20,000 participants, technology executives, and international policymakers.
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, UAE Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Dubai Future Foundation, attended the opening ceremonies of the summit, which concludes on October 27.
Essa Kazim, Governor of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), received Sheikh Hamdan upon his arrival at the venue. Organized in partnership with the Dubai AI Campus, the summit brings together technology founders, venture capital executives, and government delegations to evaluate commercial deployments and regulatory frameworks in machine learning and data infrastructure.
The two-day exhibition features more than 200 exhibitors, 150 speakers, and 500 venture capital and private equity investors representing over 100 countries. Delegates are addressing global artificial intelligence governance, digital workforce evolution, ethical machine learning deployment, and institutional funding pipelines.
During his walkthrough of the exhibition pavilions, Sheikh Hamdan reviewed enterprise deployments and technical applications, including programs presented by the Dubai Medical University demonstrating AI integration into clinical diagnostic training and medical curriculums.
The gathering directly aligns with the emirate’s broader economic diversification program under the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which aims to double the size of Dubai’s economy and position the city among the world’s top three urban tech and financial centers. As part of these strategic efforts, the Dubai AI Campus has moved to attract specialized research centers, engineering talent, and digital infrastructure to expand local technological sovereignty.
Industry discussions across the conference tracks focus on turning generative AI and data analytics into measurable commercial returns across critical sectors, including aviation, logistics, healthcare, and financial services.
