Formal ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan highlights expanding bilateral cooperation and strategic partnership between New Delhi and Abu Dhabi
NEW DELHI — September 2, 2026 : Abdulla Saif Al Nuaimi officially presented his credentials as the United Arab Emirates’ Ambassador to India to President Droupadi Murmu on Wednesday during a formal diplomatic ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
The presentation formalizes Al Nuaimi’s diplomatic mission in New Delhi at a time of deepening diplomatic, trade, and cultural ties under the comprehensive strategic partnership between both nations.
During the ceremonial audience, Ambassador Al Nuaimi delivered greetings on behalf of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and Vice President and Chairman of the Presidential Court Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The UAE leadership extended their wishes for continued development, economic advancement, and prosperity for the Indian government and its people.
Welcoming the new envoy, President Murmu reciprocated the goodwill, conveying her greetings to the Emirati leadership alongside wishes for sustained stability and growth across the Emirates. Assuring Al Nuaimi of the Indian government’s comprehensive support, the President noted that New Delhi remains committed to facilitating his diplomatic mission to ensure uninterrupted collaboration across key sectors.
Ambassador Al Nuaimi described his appointment as a matter of great pride, emphasizing his priority to broaden bilateral engagement across economic, technological, and multilateral arenas.
The two sides held discussions reviewing the current state of India–UAE bilateral relations, examining opportunities to broaden trade linkages, encourage mutual investments, and strengthen people-to-people connections aligned with the strategic priorities of both countries.
