The Ministry of Foreign Affairs cites regional developments as the reason for the emergency advisory, prioritizing the safety and well-being of Emirati nationals abroad.

ABU DHABI: The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) has officially announced a travel ban for UAE nationals traveling to the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Lebanese Republic, and the Republic of Iraq. The directive, issued amid escalating regional disturbances, mandates that all UAE citizens currently residing in or visiting these three nations depart immediately and return home at the earliest opportunity.

Prioritizing Citizen Safety

The Ministry underscored that these measures are part of the UAE’s proactive and precautionary steps to safeguard its citizens. “As part of the UAE’s commitment to monitoring the wellbeing of its citizens abroad and ensuring their safety, the Ministry emphasises the importance of adhering to its issued guidelines and advisories,” the statement read.

The advisory serves as a critical safety measure as the regional security landscape continues to shift. Authorities are closely monitoring developments to provide real-time updates to the public and those affected by the travel restrictions.

Emergency Assistance for Nationals

In addition to the travel ban, MoFA has established dedicated communication channels for Emirati nationals currently in Iran, Lebanon, or Iraq. Citizens requiring assistance or guidance regarding their departure are urged to contact the Ministry immediately via the emergency hotline: +971 800 44444.

The Ministry has reiterated that staying informed through official government channels is essential during this period. UAE missions in the region remain on high alert to assist any nationals navigating the logistics of the urgent return mandate.
