BRATISLAVA: UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan arrived in Bratislava on Wednesday for an official working visit aimed at bolstering bilateral relations and expanding trade partnerships with the Slovak Republic.
Upon landing in the Slovak capital, the UAE leader was received by senior Slovak government figures and diplomatic representatives, marking the latest step in Abu Dhabi’s diplomatic outreach across Central Europe.
Accompanying the UAE President is a high-level official delegation that includes Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Advisor to the UAE President. The delegation also features several cabinet ministers and senior government representatives focused on economic, trade, and strategic affairs.
Discussions during the visit will centre on broadening cooperation in key fields including renewable energy, technology, investment, and trade infrastructure. Both nations have expressed a mutual interest in deepening economic exchanges, building on growing commercial interest between the Arabian Gulf and Central European markets.
The working visit underscores the United Arab Emirates’ broader foreign policy objective of diversifying its global diplomatic and economic partnerships, positioning the Gulf nation as a key global hub for trade and strategic investment.
