Sharjah: Her Excellency Sheikha Hayat Al Khalifa has praised Sharjah for presenting an advanced Arab model in supporting and advancing women’s sport, citing the Emirate’s high level of readiness to host the Arab Women’s Sports Tournament 2026.
Speaking during an inspection tour of tournament venues, Sheikha Hayat Al Khalifa, Chair of the Supervision Committee of the Union of Arab National Olympic Committees, commended Sharjah’s world-class sports infrastructure, operational efficiency, and athlete-focused services. She also expressed her appreciation to Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi for her continued support, which she described as central to the tournament’s ongoing success.
The tour reviewed competition and training venues across Sharjah, including women’s sports centers, cultural and sports clubs, and facilities for athletes of determination. Officials assessed technical, logistical, medical, and safety preparations, confirming full readiness to deliver a professional and integrated hosting experience.
Officials from the Supreme Organizing Committee reaffirmed that the coordinated efforts of all venues will ensure a seamless experience for delegations and athletes, further strengthening Sharjah’s reputation as a leading regional hub for major women’s sporting events.
