Dubai: As the new academic year approaches, Dubai Cares has launched an initiative to distribute 10,000 free school bags to underprivileged students across the UAE. The campaign, held in partnership with Aldar Properties, is part of the nationwide “Year of Community” celebrations.
Each school bag will include essential supplies such as notebooks, pens, pencils, and water bottles. More than 450 volunteers are leading the distribution drive, according to Dubai Cares Chief Operating Officer, Abdulla Ahmed Al Shehhi. He noted that the success of the initiative reflects the generous support of Aldar Properties and other partners.
The distribution will be carried out through several charitable and educational institutions, including Al Ihsan Charity Association in Ras Al Khaimah and Ajman, Ittihad Charity Foundation in Ajman, National Charity Schools in Dubai, Sharjah, and Ajman, Hemaya School in Dubai, Tolerance School in Abu Dhabi, Al Tafawoq Private School in Sharjah, and Al Dhaid Private School in Umm Al Quwain.
