DUBAI, August 22, 2026:Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority has opened a new 500-metre bridge near the Dubai World Trade Centre, slashing travel times for motorists in the busy commercial district from 10 minutes down to two.
The newly operational two-lane bridge forms a key component of the broader Al Mustaqbal Street Development Project. Designed to handle outbound traffic from the Dubai World Trade Centre and the neighboring One Central development, the structure provides a direct route toward Al Mustaqbal Street and Za’abeel Palace Street.
City transport officials stated that the project addresses long-standing peak-hour congestion in one of Dubai’s central business and exhibition corridors. By creating an uninterrupted flow over key intersections, the bridge eliminates bottlenecking for drivers exiting major commercial hubs and transitioning onto primary arterial roads.
The infrastructure upgrade coincides with ongoing developments across the financial and trade district, where high daily traffic volumes routinely strain existing surface road networks. The Roads and Transport Authority confirmed that the opening is part of a series of targeted infrastructure enhancements aimed at boosting overall network capacity and reducing travel delays across high-density urban zones.
Motorists traveling through the area can now access Al Mustaqbal Street and Za’abeel Palace Street directly, bypassing localized traffic signals that previously caused cumulative delays during business hours.
