Industry leaders gather under the Dubai Content Creators Program to map out next-generation branding strategies for world tourism hubs.
DUBAI, United Arab Emirates —The Dubai Press Club hosted a specialized industry forum exploring how digital creators and targeted narrative techniques are reshaping international destination branding, bringing together creative talent and tourism strategists from across the region.
Organized in partnership with the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), the session, titled “Elevate Your Content: The Craft of International Destination Marketing,” forms part of the ongoing Dubai Content Creators Program. The initiative focuses on equipping regional storytellers, digital media professionals, and marketers with the strategic tools required to position cities and heritage hubs on the global stage.

Boutros Boutros, Executive Vice President of Corporate Communications, Marketing and Brand at Emirates Airline, headlined the discussion, dissecting the intersection between airline network branding, city positioning, and digital reach. Boutros addressed the shift from transactional advertising to narrative-led consumer discovery, emphasizing that contemporary audiences evaluate travel destinations through authentic digital accounts rather than traditional promotional campaigns.
Rebecca McLaughlin-Eastham, Head of English News at Dubai Media Incorporated (DMI) and veteran television anchor, moderated the discussion. The session drilled into the technical and editorial standards necessary for campaigns to cut through algorithm-heavy media feeds and capture discerning cross-border travelers.
Discussions focused on how content architecture directly affects inbound tourism decisions. Delegates analyzed audience retention, platform-specific content deployment, and the necessity of preserving local identity while projecting global appeal.
The Dubai Content Creators Program continues to function as an incubator for local and regional digital talent, designed to advance the emirate’s broader economic agenda by strengthening its domestic creative economy. Attendees examined recent trends across social channels, video streaming platforms, and emerging interactive media, evaluating how measurable digital impressions convert into real-world footfall.
Organizers reiterated that strategic partnerships between public economic agencies, transport flagships, and independent creators will remain central to driving visitor numbers and maintaining long-term tourism momentum.
