Dubai Press Club and Qatari officials discuss joint initiatives, professional exchange programs, and training avenues for emerging communicators

DOHA, Qatar — The Dubai Press Club held a series of strategic meetings with Qatari media institutions and leadership figures to expand media cooperation and bilateral partnerships between the United Arab Emirates and Qatar.

Led by Dubai Press Club Director Maryam Al Mulla, the visiting delegation attended the CNN Global Perspectives Doha 2026 event. The mission focused on identifying new collaborative opportunities across the communication sector, exchanging operational expertise, and laying the groundwork for regional institutional partnerships.

Talks between Maryam Al Mulla and Sheikh Jassim bin Mansour bin Jabor Al Thani, Director of the Qatar Government Communications Office, centered on concrete frameworks for advancing joint media ventures. Both sides prioritized cultivating young talent within the regional communication industry, outlining plans to provide specialized training, practical resources, and professional development platforms for the next generation of journalists and media professionals.

The high-level discussions took place in the presence of UAE Ambassador to Qatar Saeed Abdullah Al Qamzi.

The engagement aligns with broader Gulf-wide initiatives to modernize regional media ecosystems, strengthen inter-state professional networks, and elevate technical capabilities among emerging Arab communication specialists.
