In the sacred stillness of Ramadan, when hearts soften and prayers rise with sincerity, it becomes our shared responsibility as expatriates to remember in our supplications the nation that has embraced us with generosity and grace — the United Arab Emirates.
This blessed month invites reflection, gratitude, and renewal. It reminds us that beyond our personal hopes and aspirations lies a greater collective duty: to pray for the land that has sheltered our dreams, for the visionary leaders who have guided it with wisdom, and for the diverse communities who call it home. Above all, we pray for peace — not only within these borders, but across the world.
The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “There are three whose du’aa’ is not rejected: a just ruler, the fasting person when he breaks his fast, and the prayer of the oppressed person.” (Tirmidhi). The moment of breaking the fast is one of profound spiritual openness, when the believer’s heart is closest to acceptance. In that precious moment, many of us turn our prayers toward the continued security, stability, and prosperity of the UAE.

A Land of Opportunity and Harmony
For decades, the UAE has stood as a beacon of coexistence and progress. From the founding vision of the Father of the Nation, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, to the continued leadership of today, the country’s journey has been defined by foresight, compassion, and unity. What began as desert sands has transformed into a global center of innovation and prosperity — yet its greatest achievement lies not in its skyline, but in its humanity.
Kerala, too, has long been a region of social, religious, and intellectual advancement. The Malayali expatriate community, particularly its Muslim population, has found in the UAE a nurturing environment to sustain and strengthen its heritage. This shared history deepens our sense of responsibility toward the nation that has allowed us to grow while preserving our identity.
The UAE’s strength rests in its ability to transcend divisions of language, culture, and background. It is not merely a country of economic opportunity; it is a living testament to what is possible when compassion is chosen over division and peace is allowed to shape destiny.
Leadership Rooted in Vision and Compassion
The visionary leaders of the Emirates have transformed aspirations into reality. Through thoughtful governance and unwavering commitment to progress, they have created an environment where expatriates are not merely workers but contributors to a shared national story.
Every individual who arrived seeking opportunity found not only employment but dignity. Every family that came in hope discovered stability. Under leadership that values tolerance and coexistence, millions have been able to dream without fear and build futures with confidence.
In a world often marked by uncertainty and conflict, the UAE has consistently demonstrated that strength can coexist with mercy, and progress can be guided by principle. Its institutions, laws, and policies reflect a deep commitment to human dignity and social harmony.
More Than a Workplace — A Place of Belonging
For expatriates, the UAE is more than a destination; it is a place of renewal. It has become home — a society that offers safety, compassion, and the chance to rebuild lives with purpose. Many who arrived seeking livelihood found something deeper: belonging.
Its language, culture, faith, and traditions have been preserved with dignity, even as it welcomes the world. This delicate balance between rooted identity and global inclusivity is what makes the Emirates unique.
The most meaningful prayers we can offer are those born from gratitude. They are not only words spoken at dusk, but silent acknowledgments of a land that has given shelter to our ambitions and strengthened our resolve.
A Prayer for Peace and Unity
In these blessed days and nights of Ramadan, we raise our hands in supplication for the enduring peace and security of the UAE. We pray for the health and long life of its leaders, for unity among its people, and for harmony among all communities who share this land.
Sincere prayer becomes more than ritual; it becomes the language of gratitude and shared hope. It reminds us that our futures are intertwined and that unity is our greatest strength.
May this nation continue to shine as a model of compassion, coexistence, and progress. May it remain a beacon of stability in a restless world. And may our hearts always carry gratitude for the land that welcomed us, protected us, and allowed our dreams to flourish.
In honoring its spirit, we reaffirm our duty — to contribute positively, uphold its values, and pray for its continued greatness.
May the Emirates remain secure, prosperous, and blessed for generations to come.
