The UAE’s third-largest lender expands operating hours to include Friday afternoons and Sundays through July 12 to assist affected customers.

ABU DHABI, July 4, 2026 – Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) has announced a significant extension of its physical branch operating hours across the United Arab Emirates. The decision comes as the lender’s technical teams work around the clock to fully resolve intermittent disruptions affecting its digital and online banking services due to essential system maintenance.

Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB), the UAE’s third-largest bank by assets, confirmed that selected branches will now operate with extended hours, including Friday afternoons and Sundays. The revised schedule took effect on Friday, July 3, and will remain in place through Sunday, July 12, 2026, to provide additional support to customers experiencing difficulties with digital transactions.

The service disruption began earlier this week when ADCB notified customers that all banking platforms were temporarily unavailable due to essential system maintenance. While several systems have progressively started coming back online, the bank noted that technical maintenance may continue to intermittently impact certain banking channels.

To mitigate the inconvenience, 22 key branches across Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Al Ain, Al Dhafra, Sharjah, Ajman, and Fujairah have revised their customer timings. Under the new temporary schedule, these branches will remain open from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM from Saturday to Thursday. On Fridays, they will operate from 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM, and reopen for an afternoon session from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Crucially, these branches will also open on Sundays to accommodate customer needs.

ADCB reassured the public that essential services—including in-branch banking, standard ATM cash withdrawals, call center support, and uBank centers—remain fully operational during this maintenance period.

“While our teams continue to work to resolve intermittent disruptions affecting some customers across a number of banking services, ADCB branches will operate with extended hours to provide additional support,” the bank said in an official statement. The financial institution apologized for the inconvenience and urged customers to track service restorations via its official communication channels.
