Air India and Air India Express will operate a total of 42 flights—including scheduled and non-scheduled services—between India and West Asia on March 21, 2026, as part of ongoing efforts to maintain connectivity in the region.
Scheduled Operations Continue for Jeddah and Muscat
Both airlines will continue regular services to Jeddah and Muscat:
- 16 flights between India and Jeddah
- Air India:
- 1 return flight from Delhi
- 2 return flights from Mumbai
- Air India Express:
- 1 flight from Hyderabad
- Air India:
- 8 flights to/from Muscat (Air India Express)
- Operating from Delhi, Kochi, Mumbai, and Kozhikode
26 Additional Flights to UAE (Ad Hoc Operations)
In addition to scheduled services, the airlines will operate 26 non-scheduled (ad hoc) flights to the United Arab Emirates, subject to slot availability and regulatory approvals.
Key UAE operations include:
- Dubai: Air India & Air India Express (Delhi routes)
- Abu Dhabi: Flights from Bengaluru, Delhi, Kochi, Kozhikode, Mumbai
- Ras Al Khaimah: Flights from Delhi, Kochi, Kozhikode, Lucknow
- Sharjah: Flights from Mumbai and Thiruvananthapuram
No operations are scheduled for Al Ain.
Services Suspended to Several Gulf Destinations
Flights remain temporarily suspended to multiple destinations, including:
- Doha
- Kuwait City
- Manama
- Riyadh
- Dammam
- Tel Aviv
International Flights Operating Normally
Air India confirmed that flights to North America, Europe, Australia, and other global destinations continue to operate as per schedule.

Passengers affected by suspended routes can:
- Rebook to a later date without additional charges, or
- Opt for a full refund
