Dubai/Gurugram, March 12: Air India and Air India Express will operate a combined 78 scheduled and non-scheduled flights to and from the West Asia region on March 13, 2026, the airline group said in a media statement.
The two carriers will continue their scheduled services to Jeddah and Muscat, with a total of six flights operating to and from Jeddah. Air India will operate one round-trip flight each from Delhi and Mumbai to Jeddah, while Air India Express will operate a scheduled flight from Hyderabad to Jeddah and back.
Air India Express will also continue its 12 scheduled flights to and from Muscat, including services from Delhi, Kannur, Kochi, Kozhikode, Mumbai, and Thiruvananthapuram.
In addition, the airlines will operate special non-scheduled round-trip flights to Riyadh, with Air India flying from Mumbai and Air India Express from Kozhikode.
Additional Flights to UAE and Saudi Arabia
Apart from regular services, the Air India group plans to operate 60 additional non-scheduled flights to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Saudi Arabia, subject to slot availability and regulatory approvals.
These additional services will connect several Indian cities with major UAE airports including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah, and Sharjah.
Air India will operate flights to Dubai from Delhi and Mumbai, while Air India Express will connect cities such as Chennai, Bengaluru, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kozhikode, Kannur, Mumbai, and Thiruvananthapuram to multiple UAE destinations.
Passenger Support and Rebooking
Passengers affected by temporarily suspended routes can rebook their tickets for a later date at no extra cost or opt for a full refund. Travelers are advised to submit their rebooking or cancellation requests through the airline’s official website or contact the 24/7 customer support service.
Air India Express passengers in the UAE can also rebook their flights without additional charges on the airline’s extra commercial services to India. The airline is also assisting passengers through its AI-powered WhatsApp assistant “Tia.”
The Air India group said it is exploring further opportunities to operate additional ad-hoc flights to and from West Asia to meet passenger demand.
