The UAE’s labour reporting framework recorded more than 17,000 confidential complaints from workers in 2025, marking a significant milestone in worker engagement and rights awareness, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation has said.
According to the ministry, the rise in confidential complaints signals increasing confidence among workers in official reporting channels that protect complainants from retaliation. Authorities noted that such mechanisms are central to resolving violations discreetly while ensuring fairness in the labour market.
Public involvement has further strengthened oversight, with more than 4,000 community reports submitted to identify improper labour practices. This approach supports a collaborative monitoring system that includes employees, employers and the wider public.
Awareness and guidance programmes continued to expand throughout the year. Over nine million workers completed mandatory orientation sessions, while more than three million participated in digital self-guided programmes. These initiatives are supported by 326 labour guidance centres operating nationwide in multiple languages.
Employer engagement also increased significantly. Thousands of business owners participated in consultative forums, while millions of service interactions were recorded through company accounts, premium services and employer councils aimed at improving labour services and workplace standards.
