Dubai: UAE telecom operator du has announced a free connectivity package for residents stranded outside the country due to ongoing flight suspensions linked to regional tensions.
The company said affected customers will receive 15GB of free roaming data, unlimited outgoing calls and 500 incoming minutes in Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. The offer came into effect on Thursday and will remain valid for three days.
du confirmed that its infrastructure and core systems are operating normally despite the ongoing regional military developments involving the United States, Israel and Iran.
“Our priority remains ensuring uninterrupted connectivity and maintaining the resilience of our operations while ensuring the safety of our people,” said du CEO Fahad Al Hassawi.
Meanwhile, Saudi budget airline flynas announced that it will operate limited special flights between Dubai and Saudi Arabia from March 6, including services between Riyadh–Dubai and Jeddah–Dubai, while other scheduled flights remain suspended.
Earlier this week, the UAE also opened safe air corridors with GCC countries, allowing up to 48 flights per hour as part of a gradual restoration of regional air traffic following recent developments.
