With passenger traffic surging during the Christmas and New Year festive season, Dubai airports are operating at full readiness to ensure smooth and efficient travel for visitors and residents alike. His Excellency Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA Dubai), conducted an inspection visit to review airport operations and preparedness.
During his visit, Al Marri closely monitored daily airport operations, passenger processing procedures, security arrangements, and overall service quality. He noted that despite the peak-season rush, systems are functioning efficiently, enabling travellers to complete entry and exit procedures swiftly and comfortably.
Al Marri highlighted that the seamless airport experience is the result of strong coordination among multiple government and private sector partners, including Dubai Police, Dubai Customs, the General Department of Airport Security, immigration authorities, and airline staff. He stressed that the “one team” approach adopted by all stakeholders has significantly enhanced operational efficiency and elevated the overall passenger experience to world-class standards.
Commending frontline staff, Al Marri said the collective efforts of passport control officers, airline employees, security personnel, and Dubai taxi drivers reflect the emirate’s renowned hospitality. He praised their dedication, professionalism, and round-the-clock commitment to welcoming millions of travellers from around the world.
He further noted that this collaborative operational model strengthens Dubai’s global reputation as a leading international travel hub. Ensuring a safe, secure, and comfortable journey for passengers from arrival to departure remains the shared objective of all teams involved. Al Marri concluded by expressing his sincere appreciation to all frontline employees for their vital role in successfully managing the festive-season travel surge.
