Dubai Police celebrated Eid Al Adha with more than 30,000 labourers through a series of community events organised under its Positive Spirit initiative.
The programme, held under the slogan “Celebrating Eid Together,” was organised by the Positive Spirit Council in collaboration with the Event Security Committee and the General Department of Police Stations. Activities took place across Al Satwa, Al Quoz, Jebel Ali, and Al Muhaisnah during the first two days of Eid Al Adha.
The initiative, launched under the umbrella of the Ministry of Interior, aimed to share the festive spirit of Eid with workers while promoting the values of tolerance, solidarity, and coexistence that define UAE society.
More than 30,000 labourers from various nationalities participated in the celebrations, creating a vibrant multicultural atmosphere that reflected the UAE’s diverse community.
The events began with musical performances by the Dubai Police Music Band, followed by demonstrations from the K9 Police Dog Unit of the General Department of Protective Security and Emergency. The displays highlighted the professional capabilities and operational readiness of Dubai Police personnel.
A Labourers’ Support Vehicle from the General Department of Human Rights was also present, offering awareness and guidance services while informing workers about Dubai Police’s humanitarian initiatives and community support programmes.
The celebrations featured a variety of sports, cultural, and entertainment activities, including tug-of-war, volleyball, basketball, and football competitions. Interactive stage events, prize giveaways, shopping vouchers, and gifts added to the festive atmosphere.
Visitors also enjoyed dedicated cultural, awareness, and entertainment pavilions, while organisers distributed meals, refreshments, and commemorative gifts throughout the event.
Dubai Police said the initiative reflects its commitment to strengthening social cohesion, supporting workers, and enhancing happiness and quality of life for all segments of society during major national and religious occasions.
