The third phase of the initiative aims to empower a new generation of digital storytellers to showcase Dubai’s rich heritage and creative economy.
DUBAI: The Dubai Press Club (DPC), in collaboration with the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), has officially commenced the third phase of the Dubai Content Creators Programme. Launched on June 8, 2026, this latest edition introduces the specialized ‘Cultural Content Creators’ Programme,’ designed to equip local and regional media talent with advanced skills in digital storytelling, creative production, and emerging technologies.
The strategic initiative aims to build a cohort of specialized creators capable of producing high-quality, authentic content that reflects Dubai’s unique identity, foundational values, and expanding creative industries. Running until June 19, 2026, the comprehensive training schedule offers participants direct access to industry experts, interactive workshops, and modern tools including artificial intelligence.
Mona Ghanem Al Marri, Vice Chairperson and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council and President of the DPC, welcomed the participants, emphasizing the critical role young creators play in archiving and sharing the city’s narrative.
“Dubai’s emergence as a global center for culture and creativity is driven by a vision that values identity and presents it to the world with confidence,” Al Marri stated. She further highlighted the necessity of cultivating culturally aware storytellers who can preserve local heritage while projecting it through contemporary, knowledge-based digital media.
Echoing these sentiments, Hala Badri, Director General of Dubai Culture, framed cultural content as a core pillar of the emirate’s broader creative economy. Badri noted that the authority remains committed to fostering an enabling environment where creatives can expand their technical capabilities, engage with advanced media tools, and transform innovative ideas into globally resonant content.
Phased Evolution of Media Talent
This cultural phase directly builds upon the success of earlier iterations of the Dubai Content Creators Programme, which successfully covered specialized media tracks in economics, healthcare, and science.
According to Maryam Al Mulla, Director of the DPC, the partnership with Dubai Culture marks a significant milestone in modernizing the region’s digital media landscape. Wedad Kahoor, Section Head of Media Talent Development at the DPC, added that the curriculum blends theoretical frameworks with practical execution. The targeted training aims to significantly enrich Arabic cultural content across global digital platforms, turning historical heritage, arts, and local talent into highly engaging digital assets.
