The GDRFA Dubai Cycling Team delivered an impressive performance at the Abu Dhabi Gran Fondo, clinching a total of six medals across individual and team categories in a competition that featured some of the UAE’s top cyclists.
Throughout the event, GDRFA riders demonstrated exceptional physical fitness and strategic racing skills, emerging as one of the most notable teams in the championship. The team secured podium finishes in both age-group and elite categories, highlighting their consistency and competitive strength.
In the men’s age-group category, Tariq Ubaid claimed first place, while Carmen secured first place in the women’s category, bringing pride to the team. Ahmed Al Mansoori finished second in the men’s division, further strengthening the team’s medal tally. In the group event, the GDRFA women’s team achieved second place.
Additionally, Ahmed Al Mansoori earned third place in the Emirati men’s category, while Rashid Suwaidan secured third place in the age-group division, underscoring GDRFA Dubai’s all-round excellence at the championship.
Officials attributed the team’s success to continuous training programs and dedicated preparation led by GDRFA Dubai, emphasizing the department’s commitment to promoting sports, fitness, and well-being among its personnel. The initiative aligns with GDRFA’s broader strategy of encouraging healthy lifestyles while maintaining excellence in public service.
