World Star Holding continues its annual tradition by flying top-performing employees to Bangkok on an Emirates A380, honoring their decade-long dedication with a dream vacation.
SHARJAH: In a powerful demonstration of corporate gratitude that transcends economic challenges, UAE-based World Star Holding has once again honored its workforce with a luxury international holiday. To mark International Workers’ Day 2026, the company selected ten outstanding employees from its 20,000-strong construction sector workforce for an all-expenses-paid four-day excursion to Thailand.
Recognition of Excellence
The initiative, led by Chairman Nishad Hussain and Managing Director Haseena Nishad, focused on the “Star Performers of the Year.” At a moving ceremony held at the company’s Sharjah headquarters, the awardees—many of whom have served the firm for over ten years—were presented with Five-Star Gold Medals and certificates of appreciation.
Beyond the awards, the company ensured the workers were fully prepared for their journey, providing them with complete travel kits including new clothing, shoes, and luggage.
A Journey of Firsts
For the ten workers, the experience was a series of “firsts,” beginning with a flight from Dubai to Bangkok aboard the iconic Emirates A380. The itinerary was meticulously designed to offer a blend of cultural immersion and high-octane adventure. In Bangkok, the group visited the historic Golden Buddha and the Marble Temple before heading to the coastal city of Pattaya.
The adventure continued at Coral Island, where the workers participated in parasailing, underwater tours of coral reefs, jet-skiing, and banana boat rides. The trip also featured visits to the Maeklong Railway Market and the famous floating markets, providing a deep dive into Thailand’s vibrant local culture.
Voices from the Field
The emotional impact of the trip was evident in the testimonies of the workers. Muniyan Palani, a senior worker, noted that he had never imagined seeing such places “even in his dreams.”
Scaffolder Akshay Kumar expressed a sentiment shared by many in the group, stating, “My four children are studying because of the income I earn here. As long as my health allows, I am ready to work in this country and for this company.”
A Leadership Model
Chairman Nishad Hussain emphasized that the trip was a gesture of solidarity with the UAE’s leadership, which fosters a unique bond between employers and the labor force. Managing Director Haseena Nishad added that the vision of the UAE’s rulers provides the strength for businesses to remain resilient and compassionate during global shifts.
