Lulu Strengthens Community Retail with New Hypermarket Launch in Kalba, Sharjah

Lulu Group has further reinforced its commitment to community-focused retail with the launch of a new hypermarket at Al Wahda Street in Kalba, Sharjah. The opening extends Lulu’s retail presence to the outskirts of the city, improving access to quality shopping facilities for local residents.

The hypermarket was inaugurated by Dr. Ahmed Saeed Al Mazrouei, Director of Kalba Municipality, in the presence of key officials from the Economic Development Department and senior leadership of Lulu Group. Among those present were Amna Al Zaabi, Head of the Economic Department, Kalba; Ibrahim Suliman Al Sharfa, Deputy Head of the Kalba Economic Development branch; and Yusuffali M.A., Chairman of Lulu Group.

The Kalba outlet marks Lulu’s 122nd store in the UAE. Addressing the gathering, Yusuffali M.A. stated that the new hypermarket underscores Lulu’s focus on delivering quality, value, and convenience through neighborhood-based retail formats.

Covering an area of 43,000 square feet, the store features an extensive range of products including fresh produce, groceries, bakery items, fashion apparel, household goods, and electronics. The outlet is designed with modern facilities such as self-checkout counters and offers ample parking to enhance customer convenience.

Inaugural promotional offers have also been introduced to celebrate the opening. Senior Lulu executives including Saifee Rupawala, CEO; Salim M.A., Global Operations Director; and Ajay Nair, Director – Lulu Sharjah, were also present at the event.
