Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced the operating hours for all its services during the New Year holiday on January 1, 2026, covering customer service centres, public transport, parking facilities, and vehicle testing centres.

According to the announcement, all RTA Customer Happiness Centres will remain closed on January 1. However, Smart Customer Happiness Centres located at Al Barsha, Al Twar, Al Kifaf, and the RTA Headquarters will continue operating round-the-clock on a 24-hour basis.

Service provider centres, including vehicle testing facilities, will also remain closed on January 1, with normal operations resuming on Friday, January 2, 2026, as per approved schedules.

For Dubai Metro services, both the Red and Green Lines will operate from 5:00 am to 11:59 pm on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, and continue uninterrupted from 12:00 midnight to 11:59 pm on Thursday, January 1, 2026.

The Dubai Tram will run from 6:00 am to 11:59 pm on December 31, and from 12:00 midnight until 1:00 am on January 2, 2026.

RTA advised passengers using public bus services to check updated schedules through the S’hail application. The authority also announced that Bus Route E100 will not operate from Al Ghubaiba Bus Station starting the afternoon of December 31. The last trip will depart at 12:00 noon from Abu Dhabi and 2:00 pm from Al Ghubaiba, with services suspended until January 4, 2026. Passengers travelling to Abu Dhabi during this period are encouraged to use Bus Route E101 from Ibn Battuta Bus Station, while Bus Route E102 will operate from Ibn Battuta from 2:00 pm onwards on December 31.

For marine transport services, RTA requested commuters to check updated operating hours through its official digital platforms.

As part of the New Year holiday arrangements, public parking will be free of charge on January 1, 2026, except for multi-storey parking facilities and Al Khail Gate N-365. Regular parking fees will resume on January 2, 2026.

RTA urged residents and visitors to plan their journeys in advance and use smart applications to stay updated on service timings during the holiday period.
