Crown Prince Performs Aerial Acrobatics and Playful Mid-Air Moves Over Palm Jumeirah

Dubai: Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum once again captured global attention after sharing a thrilling skydiving video showcasing breathtaking aerial acrobatics above Dubai’s iconic skyline.

The video, posted on Sunday afternoon through his Instagram handle “faz3,” shows the Crown Prince soaring through the skies alongside his team in what appeared to be a high-energy freefall performance above the Palm Jumeirah Drop Zone of Skydive Dubai.

Far from a routine skydive, the footage featured a series of complex mid-air manoeuvres including backflips, front flips, synchronized twists, and gravity-defying somersaults performed against the stunning backdrop of Palm Jumeirah and the Dubai skyline.

Set to upbeat music, the video highlighted the Crown Prince’s passion for aerial sports and his remarkable confidence in freefall. Throughout the clip, Sheikh Hamdan appeared relaxed and playful, smiling widely as he performed daring stunts thousands of feet above the city.

One standout moment showed the Crown Prince seemingly blowing a kiss toward the camera before briefly sliding his goggles aside in what viewers interpreted as a playful wink. The spontaneous gesture quickly resonated with followers, many of whom have long admired his adventurous personality and charismatic online presence.

True to his signature sporting style, Sheikh Hamdan wore his distinctive F3 helmet — widely associated with his Fazza identity and personal sports team — along with a white Skydive Dubai T-shirt. In another visually striking sequence, he executed a head-down freefall pose with the palm-shaped island perfectly framed beneath him, creating one of the video’s most memorable shots.

The synchronized aerial choreography between the team members further demonstrated the high skill level of Dubai’s growing adventure sports community. Their fluid movements and precise coordination transformed the jump into what appeared to be a carefully orchestrated aerial performance rather than a standard skydive.

The latest footage comes nearly five weeks after Sheikh Hamdan shared an earlier image of himself skydiving over Dubai on April 20. That post was widely viewed as an indication that aerial sports activities were gradually returning to the emirate following a temporary suspension linked to regional tensions.

Soon after, Skydive Dubai officially resumed operations on April 24 with a ceremonial “Raise the Flag” jump from 13,000 feet above Palm Jumeirah. The organisation restarted activities in phases, operating initially from Friday to Sunday under safety-focused guidelines coordinated with relevant authorities.

Known internationally by his pen name Fazza, Sheikh Hamdan has long been associated with Dubai’s adventure sports culture. With more than 17 million followers on Instagram, he frequently shares moments from endurance sports, horse riding, diving, and skydiving activities.

The Crown Prince has previously supported several extreme sports initiatives in Dubai, including an XDubai project that featured 31 athletes jumping from the Burj Khalifa, reinforcing the emirate’s reputation as a global hub for adventure tourism and aerial sports.
