Sheikh Salem bin Rakkad Al Ameri felicitates volunteers in Al Ain following the team’s official recognition at the Arab Volunteering Day Forum in Dubai.
AL AIN, UAE —The UAE-based “Thank You for Giving” volunteer team has earned a spot in the Arabian World Records after delivering humanitarian aid and community support to more than 12,000 families across the country.

The milestone was celebrated during a special felicitation ceremony held at Qasr Al Ameri Palace in Al Ain. Sheikh Dr. Salem bin Rakkad Al Ameri, chairman of the volunteer group and head of the Emirates Cancer Society, hosted the gathering to honor field volunteers and coordinators representing various emirates.
The official world record recognition was previously conferred on September 26 at the Dubai Police Officers’ Club during the Arab Volunteering Day Forum. That forum was organized jointly by the Positive Spirit Council—the community service division of Dubai Police—and the Arab Voluntary Union.
Addressing the honorees in Al Ain, Sheikh Salem commended the field teams for their sustained dedication to reaching vulnerable households across the UAE. He emphasized that structured grassroots volunteering remains vital to strengthening social cohesion and delivering direct humanitarian assistance where it is most needed.

Several dignitaries and community figures attended the palace reception, including Muneer bin Mohiyudheen, Media and Events Director at Arabian World Records, and Himanshu, former National Vice Chairman of the Women & Children Mission. Also present were Anoop Keecheri representing UAE Vartha, Ilyas Pallipuram of Abonmed, and Abid Pandiyala from M Plus Media, alongside civil society representatives.
Organizers noted that reaching over 12,000 households involved long-term logistical coordination across urban and remote localities throughout the seven emirates. Field teams distributed relief supplies, facilitated community outreach initiatives, and extended continuous assistance to families in need.
