PARIS — The United Arab Emirates and France have officially signed a comprehensive new defence cooperation agreement, marking a significant step forward in their long-standing bilateral and strategic relationship. The pact, aimed at deeply strengthening military collaboration and enhancing security frameworks, underscores a mutual commitment to regional stability and defence innovation.
The agreement was formalized during an official state visit to France by Mohamed bin Mubarak bin Fadhel Al Mazrouei, the UAE Minister of State for Defence Affairs. Al Mazrouei convened with Catherine Vautrin, France’s Minister of the Armed Forces and Veterans Affairs, in Paris to finalize the accord.
According to an official statement released by the UAE Ministry of Defence, high-level discussions between the two ministers focused extensively on identifying new avenues to elevate defence and strategic relations. The ministry noted that the newly signed Defence Cooperation Agreement directly reflects the deep rooted ties and shared vision of both friendly nations across the military, security, and defence sectors.
