Strengthening the Strategic Partnership: Focus on Middle East Developments and Global Security

ABU DHABI: In a significant diplomatic engagement reflecting the deepening ties between the two nations, UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received India’s National Security Adviser (NSA), His Excellency Ajit Doval, at the Presidential Palace in Abu Dhabi.

The high-level meeting served as a platform to reaffirm the robust strategic partnership between the United Arab Emirates and India. During the audience, NSA Ajit Doval conveyed the personal greetings of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, extending his best wishes for the continued progress, stability, and prosperity of the UAE.

In response, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed reciprocated the sentiments, requesting Mr. Doval to convey his warmest regards to Prime Minister Modi and his wishes for the sustained growth and welfare of the Indian people.

Regional Security and Energy Concerns

The discussions primarily focused on the evolving geopolitical landscape in the Middle East. Both leaders addressed the serious implications of current regional developments on international security and stability. A key point of deliberation was the impact of these tensions on global energy security, a sector where both the UAE and India play pivotal roles as a major producer and a significant consumer, respectively.

The dialogue underscores the shared commitment of both nations to foster peace and maintain the steady flow of global energy supplies amidst shifting regional dynamics.

High-Level Attendance

The reception was attended by several high-ranking officials, highlighting the importance of the visit. Among those present were:

  • His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi.
  • Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for National Security.

This meeting follows a trajectory of increasing cooperation between New Delhi and Abu Dhabi, as both countries continue to align their interests in trade, security, and regional diplomacy.
