Sheikh Mohamed joins leaders from the US, Gulf, Middle East and Pakistan to discuss regional stability and diplomatic coordination

Abu Dhabi: UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan participated in a high-level joint phone call with several world leaders to discuss ongoing regional developments and coordinated diplomatic efforts aimed at strengthening security and stability across the Middle East and surrounding regions.

The discussion brought together key regional and international leaders at a time of heightened geopolitical tensions and growing calls for diplomatic engagement to maintain peace and economic stability. According to the UAE’s state news agency WAM, the leaders exchanged views on current developments and emphasised the importance of dialogue and cooperation in addressing regional challenges.

Among those who joined the call were Donald Trump, King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Mohammed bin Salman, King Abdullah II, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, and Field Marshal Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan.

The leaders stressed the need to intensify diplomatic coordination to prevent further escalation in the region and to support initiatives that contribute to long-term peace and security. The call also reflected the UAE’s continued role in regional diplomacy and its efforts to build consensus among global and regional powers.

The latest discussions come amid a series of recent diplomatic engagements involving the UAE leadership and several regional governments. In recent weeks, Sheikh Mohamed held talks with leaders from Lebanon, Ukraine and Syria on issues related to bilateral cooperation, regional peace and economic development.

Earlier, the UAE President hosted Syrian President Ahmed Al Sharaa during an official visit to Abu Dhabi, where both sides discussed strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation in development and economic sectors. The meeting also focused on broader Middle East developments, maritime security and the impact of regional instability on the global economy.

During those talks, the Syrian side condemned attacks targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure in the UAE and other regional countries, describing them as violations of sovereignty and international law. Both nations reaffirmed their commitment to promoting regional stability and advancing cooperation that supports prosperity and development.

The latest joint phone call further underlines growing diplomatic momentum in the region, as leaders seek coordinated solutions to ongoing geopolitical and security concerns through dialogue and international cooperation.
