Abu Dhabi: Eid-ul-Fitr prayers in the UAE will be held only inside mosques this year. Authorities have restricted prayers in open grounds, citing safety and convenience.
Worshippers have been advised to follow all safety guidelines. The decision was taken in coordination with Islamic affairs departments across the country.
The moon-sighting committee will meet on Wednesday evening to confirm the start of Shawwal. If the moon is sighted, Eid will be celebrated on Thursday; otherwise, it will be observed on Friday.
