Participants from the Future Leaders Empowerment Programme join frontline logistical teams preparing and dispatching aid to the Gaza Strip.
AL ARISH, Egypt —A delegation from the UAE’s Future Leaders Empowerment Programme has arrived in the northern Sinai city of Al Arish to join field operations supporting humanitarian relief for Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
Working alongside teams deployed under Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, the youth cohort will receive direct field training across the UAE’s supply chain hubs in Egypt, participating in aid packaging, storage logistics, and dispatch coordination.
The initiative places the young delegates directly within the operational network that handles international relief bound for Gaza. Organizers said the placement is structured to build practical leadership skills in emergency response and volunteerism while offering participants insight into managing large-scale humanitarian corridors.
During the program, participants will observe the sequential stages of disaster relief: sourcing provisions, sorting and quality inspection, palletizing emergency cargo, and clearing convoys for delivery through official transit mechanisms into Gaza. Teams from the operation will mentor the delegates on addressing urgent civilian shortages under volatile logistical conditions.
Launched under the directives of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 has served as the Emirates’ primary humanitarian vehicle for Gaza relief. The mission manages airlifts, maritime shipments, water desalination units, and medical facilities based both in Egypt and the enclave.
Organizers noted that involving upcoming professionals in active operations serves a dual purpose: building domestic capacity for civil defense and humanitarian deployment, and sustaining the country’s institutional focus on foreign assistance. The delegates are scheduled to participate in several community-oriented field initiatives in Al Arish before concluding their assignment.
