New Delhi / Singapore: India-based robotics company Genrobotics has secured a major contract from PUB after outperforming more than 600 global competitors, marking a significant milestone for Indian deep-tech innovation.
The contract will see Genrobotics deploy advanced robotic systems for sewer inspection and water infrastructure management in Singapore. The selection followed a rigorous international evaluation conducted by a government-appointed expert committee that assessed technology reliability, operational safety, and performance in hazardous environments.
According to the company, the project will integrate robotics into Singapore’s urban water management systems, enabling precision inspection, cleaning, and data-driven infrastructure monitoring.
“Winning this contract against 600 international firms proves that Indian-made robotics can compete at the highest global level,” said Vimal Govind M K, CEO and Co-Founder of Genrobotics.
Genrobotics first gained global attention for developing the Bandicoot robotic scavenger, a machine designed to eliminate dangerous manual sewer cleaning. Today, the company has expanded into healthcare robotics and high-risk industrial automation, including robotic systems for the oil and gas sector.
The company’s technology is currently deployed across 23 Indian states and more than 100 cities, while international operations include Malaysia, the United Arab Emirates, South Africa, and the United Kingdom.
With six granted Indian patents and over 21 pending filings, Genrobotics continues to scale its robotics ecosystem aimed at tackling labor shortages, aging infrastructure, and hazardous working environments worldwide.
